Scalds and Burn Victims Expected to Double Over Christmas.
Fire accidents over Christmas to increase burn victims.
Melbourne, Victoria: Victoria’s energy safety regulator continually advises the Australian public to take caution when it comes to cheap and decorative lighting that hasn’t been approved by Australia’s electrical safety regulatory authorities. Globally, there are approximately 200,000 burn cases reported with a high percentage occurring over the Christmas period.
Consolidated Property Services has worked closely with burns survivors with workers volunteering their time to help the charity KIDS Foundation. Director Eliza Hoppe stated “The team from Consolidated Property Services wants families and children to stay safe over Christmas. Each year we meet with victims that have suffered burns as a result of home fires and we urge people to err on the side of caution when setting up their Christmas electricals in their home.”
